Mohannad Yousef Abura, 39, is facing serious criminal charges following an investigation into a reported assault of a woman he was driving from Washington, DC to Virginia.

According to police, the woman was leaving a location in Dupont Circle after midnight on the holiday, when a man offered her a ride home and was possibly posing as a legitimate rideshare service.

Instead, it is alleged that Abura drove her to a park in Lorton in a blue Volkswagen Jetta (see above) and sexually assaulted her.

Abura was charged with rape and abduction with the intent to defile. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Now, investigators are concerned there may be additional victims.

Anyone who may have information about the driver or the incident has been asked to contact the department's Major Crimes Bureau by calling (703) 246-7800 and choosing option 3.
